Hassocks Mosaic
Many of you will have read in the September issue of Hassocks Life about the stunning Butterfly Tree Mosaic that brightens up the Parish Office. The artwork was the result of a partnership project between Hassocks Parish Council and The Windmills Junior School funded through developer funding for Public Art released by Mid Sussex District Council. The artwork, which involved every pupil in The Windmills Junior School, was designed and led by Mosaic Artist Aimee Harman. The Butterfly Tree has been admired by many and has quite rightly generated a great amount of jubilation and excitement amongst our junior artists when they are able to locate their individual contribution!
Adastra Park Community Tennis Courts
The three tennis courts in Adastra Park were renovated 12 months ago funded by the Parish Council, the LTA and the UK Government. The courts have proved very popular despite the wet weather this summer, with court bookings made much easier with the introduction of the online booking and automated gate entry systems. Regular coaching classes are available for all ages and abilities, run by resident coach Keith Brown. More information is available on the Parish Council website or online at https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/AdastraPark
